Mississippi – Alabama Living Shoreline Workshop

It was a great day meeting with State and Local government officials, the Army Core and homeowners, as we looked for ways to encourage homeowners to pursue Living Shorelines.
Thanks to Sea Grant, The National Estuary Reserve The Gulf Coast Alliance and others for sponsoring the event.  The Reef Ball Foundation and Reef Innovations were present,  And there were many references, pictures in presentations of using Reef Balls on Living Shoreline Projects.

Mississippi now has a Guide to Living Shorelines for Homeowners.   By the end of the month we are looking forward to see Alabama’s Guide to become available.    You can get a hard copy of download the PDF for review.
